REUNION ON JUNE 2005!Manila, October 2004 - A reunion is being organized in line with our 20th anniversary, on june 2005. So guys, let's all prepare for this. A lot of our classmates are coming home to Tacloban for this reunion. A committee is now working out necessary arrangement for this. You can check out our yahoo groups (dwuhs85).
It is currently being discussed that the reunion would be a two day affair, to be held in Tacloban City. Accomodations will be arranged for spouse and husbands along with children of each participants. The amount of contribution is being discussed and bank accounts (dollar and peso) are being worked out to gather the finances. A shirt thing is being suggested. And a webcam with chatroom is also suggested for classmates who fail to attend. At least this way their presence would still be felt virtually.
So far, we have gathered a lot of email addresses and contact numbers of our classmates and are now actively communicating at our yahoo group. There is a group in tacloban who meet regularly for the preparations. Another group in the states is also working together. If you are lost and would want to participate now, please email us at dwuhs85@yahoogroups.com.
Join Our Mailing ListWatch out for our new website! Finally we now have a new website with our own domain name. Check it out, though it's still under construction, hopefully it will be online by november or at the end of that month. The url address is www.dwuhs85.com. We wanted to make this website as interactive as we could. Each of our classmates will be given webspace to put in updates of themselves, pictures, weblog/journal, testimonials from fellow classmates, etc. We will maintain the rollcall, news page, and reunion pictures. We are encouraging you to please participate regularly and please keep in touch! The website update is being developed by irving manaog with the help of jef mercado and nolit abanilla. We still need your help. In our effort to reach out to the whereabouts of our classmates, we will also be putting up a friendster account soon. Along with hipster and other personal search engines. |
